It’s always a good Friday in Rome so we headed to St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. The Vatican is a separate country within the boundaries of Rome but no passport is needed to go. We simply waved to the swoon-worthy Swiss Guard and walked right in.
It was sunny and hot and the lines began to form early. I saw the man with the sign saying “Skip The Line.” It’s so easy for me to get ideas.
St. Peter’s is a magnificent place. The square with it’s massive collonnade of Tuscan columns was designed by my human’s favorite artist Bernini whose mastery of epic scale is mindboggling. The columns, four deep, cast cool shade on the cobbled streets. These side passages were the perfect place for me to practice tricks. Outside, the lines of waiting visitors made a captive audience for one of my flash performances. I made so many friends.
I hope you enjoy this little video as much as I enjoyed making it.
Ciao for now!
