Pleased to meet you!
I’m Little Lola Sunshine, Miss Lo for short, and I’m a trick dog, fashion blogger and philanthropist. Welcome to my website.
I’m the very first and the only real-deal, Fashion Dog. You can regularly find me at the Paris and Milan Fashion Week shows being photographed street style and interviewed by the fashion press. Not only do my outfits attract the photographers’ lenses, I have tricks that make the crowds go wild! My ‘flash performances’ put a whole new spin on walking the walk.
I love to wear fashion, walk fashion, and talk fashion. (Pssst: Just a little secret, it’s my ultimate bucket list item to walk a runway on my hind legs with the other models. I train for the day when I will be invited.) For the blog, I add a little dash of travel, architecture, characters and culture for a pretty interesting journal mix. This diary is where I jot all my observations down for you to peruse. Consider it FROW at the Lola Show!
Before you think that I might just be another pretty fashion blogger in a fetching frock, let me tell you about some of the other things that make me very happy and give my life direction. I love Children, Charity, and Champagne!
There has never been a child that I have met that I didn’t love with my whole heart. So many kids need my help and a little cheer and encouragement from me goes a long way. It’s my special brand of sunshine and I love to share it.
Since 2013, I have been a regular at Shriners Hospitals for Children as a working therapy dog. Shriners is a place where all children can get treatment regardless of their ability to pay. At the hospital, after we cuddle and pet, I do tricks that make everyone (the kids and their parents, the doctors and nurses, and all of the staff) smile. My tricks delight but they also show my little friends that, with enough persistence and determination, they can conquer anything. I help them to stay positive during some tough times. I also fund raise for Shriners so that my kids can get medical procedures that will change their lives forever.
Not all the children I work with are in hospitals and in need of healing. Some of my besties just need a chance to shine. Early childhood literacy is so important and all children need the opportunity to learn to read and write with confidence. I work with SitStayRead and some very special children in under-served community schools. Reading one-on-one with me, the students discover the love of words, reading, and writing. Building a strong foundation of literacy is something that will help them succeed throughout their entire life. All of my SitStayRead kids learn to shine like the stars they are!
And about that Champagne part, when it came to tricks and choosing something to balance on my nose, the clear choice was a champagne cork because there always seem to be a few of those around. This became my favorite party trick. You have no idea how many glasses of good French bubbly I have won on a bet.
Cheers! Here’s to you and everything beautiful that makes the world go around.
